Alexander Hamilton....his name is Alexander Hamilton....

[Eliza:]
I relish being your wife
Look around, look around…

Look at where you are
Look at where you started
The fact that you're alive is a miracle
Just stay alive, that would be enough

And if this child
Shares a fraction of your smile
Or a fragment of your mind, look out world!
That would be enough

I don't pretend to know
The challenges you're facing
The worlds you keep erasing and creating in your mind

But I'm not afraid
I know who I married
So long as you come home at the end of the day
That would be enough

We don't need a legacy
We don't need money
If I could grant you peace of mind
If you could let me inside your heart…

Oh, let me be a part of the narrative
In the story they will write someday
Let this moment be the first chapter:
Where you decide to stay
And I could be enough
And we could be enough
That would be enough

Who I Am

I am Gloria's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My mama's still my biggest fan.....

Babooshka

"She wanted to test her husband..."
This song was released the year I was born. I bought the record at Half Price Books a few years ago. Kate Bush is kind of the basis for Tori Amos' career, I think.....

Wherever it points...

"So make lots of noise
Kiss lots of boys
Kiss lots of girls
if that's something you're into
When the straight and narrow
gets a little bit too straight
Roll up a joint
(I would)
And follow your arrow
wherever it points."

The Researcher

Thinking about a lot of things lately, from Operation Valkyrie to the first supermodel, Gia Carangi, to whatever happened to Madonna's dancers from her brilliant documentary Truth or Dare. I actually found a photo of Valkyrie conspirator Friedrich Karl Klausing, and 2 new articles on him (he is my favorite research "wild goose chase."). I've learned a lot about the life and times of the great Gia,  and she's my newest reason for the red ribbon on my coat. Another new reason is Gabriel Trupin, who also died of complications from AIDS. He was one of Madonna's dancers on the Blond Ambition tour. The other dancers all appear in a new documentary, Strike A Pose, which I am dying to see. Well, that's what I've been doing. Here are some photos......
