The Researcher

Thinking about a lot of things lately, from Operation Valkyrie to the first supermodel, Gia Carangi, to whatever happened to Madonna's dancers from her brilliant documentary Truth or Dare. I actually found a photo of Valkyrie conspirator Friedrich Karl Klausing, and 2 new articles on him (he is my favorite research "wild goose chase."). I've learned a lot about the life and times of the great Gia,  and she's my newest reason for the red ribbon on my coat. Another new reason is Gabriel Trupin, who also died of complications from AIDS. He was one of Madonna's dancers on the Blond Ambition tour. The other dancers all appear in a new documentary, Strike A Pose, which I am dying to see. Well, that's what I've been doing. Here are some photos......

Where Has Lilli Been?

Dividing my time between Hamilton and Fairfield....my building has become a positively intolerable hotbed of gossip, treachery, and other petty bullshit. I'm sick of old men hitting on me and old women hating me. I spend my days either elsewhere, or holed up in my attic garret...fuck them all. A former friend has moved in upstairs, and she yaps about me to anyone who listens.
Despite this, I am hopeful as I enter my 38th year. I have some good friends and allies in my life, and a roof over my head (for now). Looking forward to a joyful Hanukkah, and maybe a miracle or two.....
