What can I say? I get weird ideas when I have insomnia!
The musings of a crazy lady from Hamilton, Ohio. "Madwoman in the attic" is a reference to the book "Jane Eyre," and our world where we try to silence and "lock away" the mentally ill.

desperation
What a depressing night. Everything seems to be falling apart, and I can't seem to fix it. I also dare not ask another human being for the slightest bit of help. No one wants me around, and I accept that. I hate this waiting around....I'm not yet ready for the great leap beyond, but I also see no point in sticking around. So is the miserable limbo my life has become.

For Carrie: A Dedication
Crazy Game, by the Indigo Girls
Crazy game, i never
should have started to play, but now you couldn't tear me away cause
love is sweet, sweet baby. so good to you and so bad and i fear, the
situation's clear before my eyes. confusion wants to break me and it
tries but i've been a little bit stronger from the start listen to my
heart:
Cause if you're ever believing i'm thinking of leaving look to the moon, cause it's a fact she may go wandering about but she always comes shining back and it's true, i'll wait for you.
You dry your tears, don't be thinking grey is here to stay. sometimes everything is in the way you're wanting to look at it, turn your view around, dry your eyes. eyes like yours should carry a smile, i haven't seen them sparkle in a while, give it one more try, dry your eyes.

Blossom
"Blossom"
Blossom, smile some sunshine down my way Lately, I've been lonesome Blossom, it's been much too long a day Seems my dreams have frozen Melt my cares away Send the sunshine down my way whenever you call my name I know what you mean to say to me, girl, it's all the same Blossom, there's any empty road behind Sit you down beside me Blossom, there's a sweet dream on my mind [ From: http://www.elyrics.net ] There's a song inside me Take these chains away Now, send the sunshine down my way whenever you call my name I know what you mean to say to me, girl, it's all the same Blossom, smile some sunshine down my way Lately, I've been lonesome Blossom, it's been much too long a day Seems my dreams have frozen Melt my cares away

"Lately you've been on my mind..."
"Toast" by Tori Amos
I thought it was Easter time
The way the light rose
Rose that morning
Lately you've been on my mind
You showed me the rope
Ropes to climb
Over mountains
And to pull myself
Out of a landslide
Of a landslide
I thought it was harvest time
You always loved the smell of the wood burning
She with her honey hair
Dalhousie Castle
She would meet you there
In the winter
Butter yellow
The flames you stirred
Yes, you could stir
I raise a glass
Make a toast
A toast in your honor
I hear you laugh
And beg me not to dance
On your right standing by
Is Mr. Bojangles
With a toast he's telling me it's time
To raise a glass
Make a toast
A toast in your honor
I hear you laugh and beg me not to dance
On your right standing is
Mr. Bojangles
With a toast he's telling me it's time
To let you go
Let you go
I thought I'd see you again
You said you might do
Maybe in a carving
In a cathedral
Somewhere in Barcelona
The way the light rose
Rose that morning
Lately you've been on my mind
You showed me the rope
Ropes to climb
Over mountains
And to pull myself
Out of a landslide
Of a landslide
I thought it was harvest time
You always loved the smell of the wood burning
